Nov 1st they started filling the Lake in the RV Campground we are staying for the Winter. The Water comes from the irrigation system in town and gets pumped up from the Rio Grande. Interesting to see the difference each time we go to the pool.

We went to Estero Llano Grande State Park for a Guided Birdwalk and were not disapointed. The group was small ( 5 people total ) and we saw and heard alot of different birds. It really helps having more eyes scanning the trees and bushes for movement.

When we went out to dinner one night we saw these green parakeets swarm in the parking lot of a shopping area. We went back the next day to take some Pictures. There must have been thousands of them in the trees fountains, roofs of the surrounding building. What an amazing sight to see.

The Mission Historic Museum had a small Dia de Muerto Festival we checked out Friday night. There was no charge to enter.
