Very nice , well kept Nature Park that offers plenty of seating and viewing areas without having to walk miles after miles. In the evening Red Crowned Parrots come to roost in or just outside the park. A thick canopy of trees covers the trail and there is a nice pond with ALOT of turtles. […]
Cute little park with tons of gras to picnic, a pavillion to rent, Tennis courts, playground , BBQ pits and LIVE music in the summer on thursdays nice green oasis in an otherwise rocky and somewhat barren landscape.
More a scenic overlook/ picnic area/ hangout than a Park. But it made for an interesting short stop, the train is welded shut with some damage and graffiti done on the inside.
Used to be the McAllen Botanical Garden and must have been unattended for a few years. Its seems that just recently the town started to clean it up and reopened it as a anture center.
