Our first visit to Edinburg Wetland this Winter. Plenty of White Pelican, Cormorants, Great Heron and Snow Egrets to see. We also saw a Inca Dove and a Wood Stork. Well worth the $3 to walk these well maintained nature trails.

We went to Estero Llano Grande State Park for a Guided Birdwalk and were not disapointed. The group was small ( 5 people total ) and we saw and heard alot of different birds. It really helps having more eyes scanning the trees and bushes for movement.

Another nature center that will disappear when the borderwall will be build. Last year we were not impressed with the amount of butterflies but this year it was different there were so many monarch butterflies in the milkweed refilling before their next journey into mexico . butterfly center
