Very nice , well kept Nature Park that offers plenty of seating and viewing areas without having to walk miles after miles. In the evening Red Crowned Parrots come to roost in or just outside the park. A thick canopy of trees covers the trail and there is a nice pond with ALOT of turtles. […]
Our first visit to Edinburg Wetland this Winter. Plenty of White Pelican, Cormorants, Great Heron and Snow Egrets to see. We also saw a Inca Dove and a Wood Stork. Well worth the $3 to walk these well maintained nature trails.
We went to Estero Llano Grande State Park for a Guided Birdwalk and were not disapointed. The group was small ( 5 people total ) and we saw and heard alot of different birds. It really helps having more eyes scanning the trees and bushes for movement.
We went back to Benston State Park. It saddens me to have read last week that this StatePark did not get an exception from the Border Wall funding and might be inaccessible within the next 1 or 2 years.
