French Market, Mint & Dinner

We went for another  food excursion  into the French Quarters. It was amazing to see how busy Bourbon Street was and how many people were drunk beyond repair before 5 PM.

We walked down the few blocks to Dacatur Street and then through the already closing French Market. We found the old place of the gold mint, now the  New Orleans Jazz Museum , marked by a flowerbox full of mint.

We walked back and around the Cathedral , through Jackson Square and  back toward Royal, doing some zig zag pattern advoid groups of highly intoxicated and stoned people we found a place to ear…PERE ANTOINE…and were seated near a window overlooking  the street corner…SCORE.

the food was good, I had a vegetarian po-boy, andrea a surf and turf sandwich, we shared some hand cut mozzarella with some creole sauce.
