Birds and Javelinas at Bentsen State Park

What weird day…we started off with around 70s and a few hours later it was down to  48 F.

We took the bicycles to ride in Bentsen State Park and were not disapointed. At the Green Jay blind we saw…surprise..Green Jays, but also a flicker and an Altimira Oriole. When we walked into the blind there was a huge javelina eating amongst the birds.

We sat there for a while and watched the birds but the javelina never returned. We then took the bikes to the kiskadee blind and didnt see anything, the hawk tower also didn”t offer many sightings. When we rode back to the car the wind picked up and it started to cool down fast.
