I took the dogs out for a walk. It was raining earlier but when we walked we just had a light mist over the Rio Grande Valley. We drove to the Mission Hike and Bike Trail and started walking the levee…the soil when moist is like cake batter.. I quickly had 2 inches of dirt stuck under my feet and the dogs paws were fully spread apart and filled with mud.. it got so bad that hunter kept scratching his paws to get the crud off…I dont think I ever seen or hiked in such a sticky mess
The good thing is that going that way we managed to see a flock of roseate spoonbills flying over us, which made up for getting wet and dirty.
