…is basically an old mansion owned by the Town of McAllen and open to the public. It makes a nice venue for a outside wedding or family gathering.
The entrance fee of $3 seems very reasonable and the nature walk is something to enjoy for the elderly and kids. We did not see many animals, butterflies on our walk but we also went there during the heat of the day. They do have bronze statues every so often showing local wildlife and explaining their habitat as well as other facts regarding their species.
The trail is well maintained and I would say handicap accessible. They also have a variety of concerts throughout the year and a activity / discovery center for children.
