13 Years ago I became a US Citizen

13 years ago I took an oath and became a US Citizen. In the last few month I have been looking at this country of mine and often shook my head in disbelief. We are so angry with each other, so divided. People seem to have mental meltdowns because their candidate did not win or people are saying things that the other side disagrees with .Everyone has the right to free speech, no matter how much it goes against my own opinion. There are bullies in this world, these bullies want to incite violence by pushing you to the point of violence. Instead of giving them what they want do the opposite, show the world how YOU want america to be seen in the world.

Kindness will overcome hatred.

This is the oath I took, maybe we should all pick up the constitution more often and read it in the context is was written and pick up a history book to understand it even more.

“I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God.”
