Fort Ticonderoga, NY

Fort Ticonderoga,is a 18th century  fort built by the French at a narrows near the south end of Lake Champlain. It was abandoned in 1781 and privatly rebuild in the 20th  century.

The Fort itself is not dog friendly, not sure why not more historic places allow dogs as long as people stay out of buildings and clean up after their pets like they do in europe.

We enjoyed our stay and enjoyed the re-enactments that took place and the tons of artifacts presented in the various buildings.
