Mongaup Pond is located in the western section of the Catskills park in New York. This is a nature lovers paradise. I have never camped there and NOT seen a Bald Eagle soar, catch fish or fly by 30 feet from me. There is NO cellphone reception although people claim there is some in the middle of the pond. We used to tent camp there and just love it. Local Area attractions are the Trout Capitol of the world Roscoe, NY and the Fly Fishing Museum.
The sites are close but with privacy alot of them have water access ( some easier than others ) and its also a state park that needs to be booked months in advance. There is a boatlaunch for non motorized boat, a fishing dock, hiking trails as well as kayak rentals and a beach.
My wife fishing
There is always good fishing
